We are currently seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless functionality of our machinery and equipment. Responsibilities include executing routine services, implementing preventative and predictive maintenance strategies, diagnosing equipment failures, and aiding in the installation of new machinery.

Compensation: The starting wage is $32 per hour, with opportunities for increases based on experience.

Work Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts - 6 am to 6 pm and 6 pm to 6 am.

Payment Frequency: Weekly

Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Maintenance Technician:

  • Conduct preventative, predictive, and proactive maintenance to enhance equipment reliability.
  • Perform regular maintenance on hydraulic systems and lubricate mechanical components, demonstrating knowledge of lubricant types and applications.
  • Execute basic machinist tasks, including fabrication and welding.
  • Commission new systems and integrate them into existing controls.
  • Interpret and follow technical diagrams and schematics.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of lifting and rigging techniques.
  • Comply with all environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Provide technical assistance for effective troubleshooting and problem resolution to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with operations to enhance reliability and improve plant performance.
  • Understand pipe fitting skills, including threading, bending, and swaging.
  • Familiarity with alignment techniques for various equipment.
  • Knowledge of cylinder components and rebuilding processes.
  • Understand valve types and rebuilding methods.
  • Operate and maintain various process equipment.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, with the ability to troubleshoot using PLC I/O interpretations.
  • Perform additional tasks as required to support operational efficiency.

Qualifications for the Mechanical Maintenance Technician:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems or manual systems is essential.
  • Minimum of two years of industrial equipment maintenance experience or equivalent training and experience.
  • Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
  • Initial tools and toolbox for basic troubleshooting and repairs are required; the company will replace damaged tools as needed.
  • Ability to operate mobile equipment, including forklifts.
  • Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Awareness of occupational hazards and safety measures.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to perform under pressure.
