Job Title: Registered Nurse - Wound Care

Inova is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Wound Care team, providing coverage to our multiple sites as needed. This is a PRN position that offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the comprehensive wound healing services provided by Inova.

About the Role:
  • Provide expert care to patients with complex wounds, delays, or potential for delay in healing.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
  • Work in a state-of-the-art facility with a commitment to providing expert care and fostering collaboration among centers.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform essential duties necessary to clinic or non-acute operations, including taking vitals, stocking exam rooms, giving vaccines, and blood draws.
  • Formulate plans of care based on trends of similar patients, including patient education and discharge planning.
  • Collaborate with patients and families to identify realistic desired outcomes and adapt standards and guidelines for individual patients.
  • Participate in the planning of routine transitional healthcare needs and respond to changes in patients' needs.
  • Make independent clinical decisions based on knowledge drawn from education and experience.
  • Actively advocate for patients' rights and identify potential conflicts.
  • Ensure efficiency in the delivery of care and determine immediate priorities and offer solutions for problems.
Requirements:
  • Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN), must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
  • Experience: 0 years of registered nurse clinical experience. 1 year of acute care is highly preferred.
  • Licensure/Certifications: BLS and ACLS for Healthcare Provider Certification from the American Heart Association; RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a RN.
