Position Overview

Operating under the guidance of the Production Manager, the Electromechanical Assembly Specialist will ensure the consistent production of high-quality medical devices. Utilizing established protocols, hand tools, and light machinery, the specialist will assemble components into subassemblies, which will then be integrated into complete units. Responsibilities include conducting testing and calibration to meet product specifications. The specialist may also mentor less experienced colleagues by sharing knowledge and expertise.

In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and refining methods and procedures to enhance the manufacturing process. Collaboration with engineers to conduct experiments will also be a key aspect of your responsibilities.

This is a full-time opportunity based in our operational facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Foster and promote company culture, policies, and standards.
  • Perform electromechanical assembly of robotic components and subsystems.
  • Align, fit, insert, fasten, tighten, and seal assembly components.
  • Preassemble computers for control stations.
  • Conduct final assembly, integration, formatting, and testing of robotic endpoints and control stations.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair product components, including motors and mechanical assemblies.
  • Enhance production procedures and documentation processes.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of all assembly and testing activities.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of production workflows.
  • Assist Manufacturing Engineering with New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives as required.
  • Help maintain a clean and efficient workspace.
  • Perform shipping, receiving, and inventory management tasks as needed.
  • Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications Required
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 6 - 8 years of experience with electromechanical systems or related fields.
  • Proven experience in the production of electromechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with computers and computer subsystems.
  • Active participation in Quality Management System (QMS) requirements in production.
  • Proficient in basic functions of MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities: maintains orderly work areas and contributes to a professional production environment.
The compensation for this position is competitive and based on experience. In addition to a base salary, this role is eligible for performance bonuses and benefits, which are detailed in our benefits documentation. Total compensation is influenced by various factors, including position type, location, education, work experience, and certifications. This information applies to all full-time roles.
