Job Title: Diesel Technician/Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our team at Ryder System in New Oxford, PA.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on heavy-duty vehicles. This includes oil changes, brake and tire work, and other mechanical repairs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes, brake and tire work, and other mechanical repairs.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computers.
  • Perform facility maintenance duties, including cleaning and organization of the work area.
  • Interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of complaints and assign tasks.
  • Perform other support duties as required to support operations.
Requirements:
  • Two (2) years or more of a combination of classroom training and work experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines.
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred.
  • Ability to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire.
Benefits:
  • Average weekly pay: $1000.
  • Hourly pay: $25.00 per hour.
  • Sign on bonus.
  • Monday - Friday schedule with weekends off.
  • Second shift: 12:00 pm - 8:30 pm.
