Education Requirements:
A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is mandatory within three years of taking on this role.
Licensure and Certifications:
- Active registration with the Maryland State Board of Examiners of Nurses as a Registered Nurse.
- Current CPR certification for Healthcare Providers.
Experience:
A minimum of two years of experience as a Registered Nurse is required.

- Proficient planning and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
Direct Patient Care:
- Conducts and documents initial and ongoing patient assessments.
- Utilizes physical assessment and interviewing techniques.
- Identifies priorities for patient care needs or issues.
- Performs clinical nursing tasks independently.
- Aids in creating individualized clinical care plans and reassesses their effectiveness as necessary.
- Implements prescribed treatments.
- Initiates emergency procedures as required.
- Demonstrates proficiency in hyperbaric medicine.
Education:
- Applies teaching and learning principles in educating patients and their families.
- Provides guidance to patients, caregivers, or family members on necessary treatments.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Works with multidisciplinary teams to enhance the quality of patient care.
- Coordinates patient activities across various disciplines.
- Documents patient status and care plans in medical records.
- Communicates patient status verbally to physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
