Job Summary:
A cardiac sonographer professional is required to perform echocardiograms, transmit exams to compatible DICOM storage applications, and communicate findings to attending physicians. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities:
• Perform routine echocardiograms, including Transthoracic Echocardiogram (TTE), Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE), Plain Stress Echocardiogram, and Dobutamine Stress Echocardiogram
• Evaluate and record pertinent anatomical, pathological, and functional data
• Transmit exams to compatible DICOM storage applications
• Communicate significant findings to attending physicians
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide patient care

Requirements:
• Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for registered diagnostic cardiac sonographers
• Completion of a clinical rotation in cardiovascular echo sonography or six months of on-the-job training
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Registration as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS), Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS), or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS)

Work Environment:
This position requires the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate records. The ideal candidate will be able to adapt to changing priorities and demonstrate strong communication skills. This role is based at Houston Methodist Clear Lake Hospital in Clear Lake, Texas.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year
