Job Summary

The Facilities Operator Lead is a key member of our facilities team, responsible for ensuring the maintenance, safety, security, and appearance of our properties. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Perform daily inspections of facilities to identify and address any maintenance or repair needs, including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
  • Security and Safety: Ensure the security and safety of our properties by performing security inspections, repairing exterior doors and windows, and identifying and reporting any potential hazards.
  • Custodial and Grounds Maintenance: Coordinate the cleaning of rooms, halls, main entrance, and restrooms, and police and pick-up trash or other items on the grounds to provide a safe environment.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory of all property-owned tools and custodial equipment, and be responsible for the condition of the inventory.
  • Requisitions and Procurement: Requisition custodial/maintenance/grounds materials and equipment as needed in a timely manner.
  • Seasonal Assignments: Participate in seasonal assignments such as pressure washing, painting, and roof preventive maintenance cleaning down spouts and gutters.
Requirements
  • Knowledge and Skills: Requires knowledge of applicable codes, procedures, practices, and common safety practices for carpentry, painting, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Operational Skills: Ability to successfully operate appropriate machines and automated equipment in a safe manner.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work effectively in a team environment.
