Job Summary:

As a key member of the Raymond James Financial Incorporated security team, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for employees, clients, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and possess a strong sense of professionalism and customer service. They will be required to follow established procedures and protocols, and to use sound judgment and decision-making skills in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Physical Security: Patrol assigned buildings and grounds to deter criminal activity and ensure the safety of personnel and assets.
  • Electronic Access Control: Monitor and control access to secure areas, including employee and visitor entry points.
  • Visitor Management: Greet and escort visitors, verify their identity, and ensure they are aware of security protocols and procedures.
  • CCTV Monitoring: Monitor CCTV cameras to detect and respond to security incidents.
  • Life Safety Systems: Respond to medical emergencies, serve as a member of the fire control team, and participate in emergency evacuation procedures.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Incident Response: Investigate and document security incidents, and provide reports to management as required.
  • Security Threats: Identify and respond to potential security threats, including bomb threats, fire safety, theft, sabotage, and other acts of workplace violence.
  • Electronic Security Systems: Monitor and maintain electronic security systems, including alarms and access control systems.
  • Security Training: Participate in regular security training and drills to ensure knowledge and skills are up-to-date.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of one year of experience in law enforcement, military police, or a related security field.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Valid driver's license, Class D Security License, and CPR and First Aid certifications.
