The Residential Cleaning Specialist is responsible for providing a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene within the community, ensuring a welcoming environment for all residents. This role emphasizes a service-oriented approach, aligning with all relevant regulations and the standards set by Lake Pointe Landing Retirement Community.
Key Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is advantageous but not mandatory.
Main Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning duties in designated areas efficiently, utilizing appropriate cleaning supplies:
- Maintain cleanliness in occupied and vacant units, patios, decks, common areas, offices, lobbies, elevators, lounges, public restrooms, laundry facilities, and dining areas.
- Execute tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and sanitizing surfaces, including windows and glass.
- Ensure cleaning carts are stocked correctly and report any shortages to the supervisor.
- Safely store all cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Notify supervisors regarding any maintenance or repair needs.
- Communicate any unusual resident behaviors or conditions to the supervisor.
- Address resident concerns or complaints promptly.

- Must demonstrate patience, tact, and a positive attitude, especially when dealing with challenging situations.
- Ability to make independent decisions when necessary.
- Work effectively with minimal supervision while maintaining professional relationships with colleagues and vendors.
