Position Overview:
The Composites Mechanic position is integral to the maintenance and repair of aircraft, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and quality benchmarks. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and the delivery of superior results within specified timelines.

Qualifications and Experience:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Possession of tools as outlined by the company.
  • Proficiency in English for reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension.
  • A minimum of two years of experience with heavy transport category aircraft.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts - 1st, 2nd, or 3rd.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ownership of specified tools from the company list.
  • English proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension.
  • Two or more years of experience in composite repair/manufacturing or in an aviation-related metal bond composite environment.
Key Responsibilities:
As a qualified Composites Mechanic, your duties will include:
  • Fabricating parts as required.
  • Executing intricate structural repairs.
  • Adhering to task specifications.
  • Maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Completing assignments within estimated timeframes.
  • Following established safety protocols.
  • Completing necessary documentation.
  • Safely operating ground support equipment, if qualified.
  • Working autonomously and providing assistance to colleagues as needed.
  • Communicating effectively with management and team members.
Additional Duties:
  • Following directives from Team Leader or Lead.
  • Taking on Team Leader responsibilities when necessary.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
  • Possible exposure to high noise levels.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, stand for extended periods, climb, and handle ladders.
  • Working with hazardous materials and safety equipment.
  • Capability to use a full-face respirator.
  • Participation in drug and alcohol testing.
  • Good hearing and ability to lift up to fifty pounds.
  • Good vision, including color vision.
