Job Summary

This is a challenging opportunity for a skilled Pipefitter Foreman to join our team at American Welding Society. As a key member of our pipefitting crew, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation and maintenance of industrial piping systems. Your expertise in pipefitting processes, safety protocols, and crew management will be essential in ensuring the successful completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work, including locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required.
  • Identify and obtain necessary tools and equipment for tasks.
  • Assess safety risks and implement measures to mitigate them.
  • Lead and manage a team of pipefitters, ensuring efficient workflow, quality workmanship, and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Plan and coordinate crew activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and cost management.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in industrial pipefitting, with a minimum of 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing crews, ensuring quality work, and meeting project deadlines.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, construction drawings, and safety protocols.
  • Knowledge of pipefitting processes, including installation, maintenance, and repair.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Zachry ROF'ed employee or former Zachry employee.
  • Basic computer efficiency.
  • Formal or technical education in a related field.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work at heights, climb ladders, and use scaffolding safely.
  • Willingness to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety protocols.
