The Clinical Nurse Educator plays a pivotal role in providing leadership, clinical expertise, educational development, and consultation aimed at fostering clinical excellence within the organization.
This position utilizes advanced problem-solving techniques and the nursing process to enhance patient outcomes and meet program objectives. Strong communication skills are essential for establishing effective working relationships.
The Clinical Nurse Educator collaborates with management and leadership to establish patient care criteria, assess patient health needs, and evaluate nursing interventions to optimize nursing practice outcomes. This role also facilitates problem-solving and decision-making processes to influence the development, implementation, and assessment of patient, unit, department, and organizational objectives, serving as a clinical authority in their area of expertise and exemplifying this to hospital staff and medical personnel.
- Delivers immediate problem-solving support to enhance critical thinking abilities.
- Exhibits proficient educational and instructional skills throughout the teaching and learning process.
- Oversees the creation of relevant materials to support staff education.
- Independently plans, develops, presents, and assesses educational programs in partnership with the education department and departmental leaders.
- Designs, implements, and evaluates training for new and experienced preceptors.
Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
40 hours per week, Onsite
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Nursing required.
- Specialization in Nursing Education preferred.
- Experience in Emergency Department is mandatory.
- Current ACLS certification.
- Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers.
- Preferred recent experience in hospital education and training.
- Proficient in computer applications including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
