Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Phlebotomist Group Lead to join our team at Quest Diagnostics. As a key member of our Patient Service Center team, you will be responsible for leading a team of phlebotomists and ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory services.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of phlebotomists and provide guidance and support to ensure excellent patient service and quality results.
  • Develop and implement processes to improve efficiency and productivity in the laboratory.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of laboratory services.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and Quest Diagnostics policies and procedures.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years in a Patient Service Center (PSC) / In-Office (IOP) environment preferred.
  • Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
Physical and Mental Requirements
  • Lift light to moderately heavy objects.
  • Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to perform repetitive tasks with dominant hand frequently to constantly throughout the day.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Committed to all Quest Diagnostics Policies & Procedures.
  • Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
  • Excellent phlebotomy skills to include pediatric and geriatric.
Education
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
License/Certifications
  • Phlebotomy certification (required in certain states, e.g. California, Nevada, Washington and Louisiana)
