Job Overview

Compensation: $16.00- $20.00 per hour

Under the guidance of the Department Manager, the Nutritional Products Associate is responsible for a variety of essential tasks:

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service by proactively engaging with customers, assisting them in locating products, and clarifying the differences and similarities among various items.
  • Ensure a tidy work environment by regularly cleaning shelves, dusting containers, organizing ladders, managing boxes, and removing empty packaging from the floor.
  • Accurately restock shelves by matching product UPCs with shelf tags.
  • Implement proper stock rotation by placing new items behind older stock.
  • Monitor product expiration dates to maintain quality.
  • Keep shelves adequately stocked by utilizing back stock with carts, box cutters, and dollies.
  • Organize products on shelves and back stock to maintain a neat appearance.
  • Occasionally assist in ordering products, including special requests.
  • Verify delivery invoices and packing lists against received products.
  • Maintain awareness of safety and security in the assigned area, addressing any hazards.
  • Label empty shelf spaces with 'Temporarily Unavailable' tags as needed.
Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. certificate is required.

Experience:

  • Prior experience in customer service is preferred.
  • Familiarity with vitamins and supplements is advantageous.

Knowledge:

  • Understanding of vitamins and supplements is preferred but not mandatory.

Skills:

  • Ability to be friendly, approachable, and work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic proficiency in reading and writing English is required.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent sitting, communication, reading, and manipulation of objects and tools.
  • Majority of items handled are 3 lbs. or less.
  • Items may be lifted from heights ranging from 6" to 60"; lifting may occur over 100 times per day.
  • Products and cases must be transported from carts and dollies to shelves.
  • Ability to push and pull carts and dollies filled with boxed products.
Special Requirements
  • Availability to work various shifts as needed.
