About the Job

Custom Personnel is seeking a Class A driver to deliver merchandise to stores in a safe and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure accounts are correctly rotated and overage product is promptly removed.
  • Communicate changes and opportunities to Pre-Sales Personnel, Route Supervisor, and Area Sales Manager.
  • Develop a working knowledge of credit, State and Federal laws, and Company policies.
  • Execute pre-planned objectives assigned by the Sales Representative for each account.
  • Direct the activity of a helper if applicable.
  • Report any problems with equipment encountered during pre-trip, delivery schedule, and post-trip.
  • Operate equipment in a safe manner and keep it clean.
  • Ensure daily paperwork is done in a neat and understandable way.
Relationships
  • Maintain open communication with Delivery Supervisor and Delivery Manager to ensure informed decisions regarding service strategies.
  • Report problems regarding loading, unloading, shortages, and overages to Warehouse Manager.
  • Seek to create and maintain goodwill on behalf of the Company and its brands with retail accounts, supplier representatives, and the public.
Physical, Mental, and Environmental Demands

Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items as needed. Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs and lift up to 70 lbs.
