Transforming Lives with AMD Technology

We are a global team of investigators supporting AMD's Ethics & Compliance organization, reporting to the Director of Compliance investigations. Our mission is to build great products that accelerate next-generation computing experiences - the building blocks for the data center, artificial intelligence, PCs, gaming, and embedded. We strive for execution excellence while being direct, humble, collaborative, and inclusive of diverse perspectives.

The Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and collaborative investigator to join our team. This role will require direct interactions with employees at all levels, conducting moderate to complex investigations, and supporting product protection initiatives. The ideal candidate should possess exceptional listening skills, adeptness in conducting interviews, and the ability to maintain composure in emotionally charged or high-pressure scenarios. Proficiency in both written and verbal communication is essential, coupled with a strong comfort level in utilizing various technologies. Above all, this role demands a passion for driving solutions and a collaborative spirit to effectively work alongside others towards shared goals.

Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for planning and carrying out sensitive investigations, investigative support operations, and investigative projects of varying complexity. Conduct corporate investigations involving allegations concerning AMD's Worldwide Standard of Business Conduct and other policies, including employment discrimination, harassment, retaliation, fraud, corruption, theft, insider threats, and conflicts of interest. Conduct physical security audits, security surveys, and other duties to ensure vendor and partner compliance with company product protection standards and to comply with CTPAT, STP, TAPA, and other supply chain security standards. Develop investigative plans, interview witnesses, review records, and document investigative findings in well-written reports. Use experience and problem-solving skills to develop and improve processes. Work effectively and establish rapport with other Business Unit functions (Internal Audit, Legal, HR, Security, Procurement, Global Operations, and other Business Units). Effectively communicate with law enforcement and government representatives to gather information for investigations. Present results of investigations and inquiries using clear and concise methods that will be reviewed by executive management.

Preferred Experience:
Experience conducting interviews with employees or individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures and documenting results in case management systems. Sound understanding of investigative techniques, methodologies, and legal procedures. Experience documenting investigative findings in well-drafted reports and the ability to communicate (both oral and written) complex issues with simplicity. Demonstrate objectivity and empathy while interacting and interviewing employees and witnesses. Effectively collaborate and communicate with peers and stakeholders throughout the company in different contexts and at different levels. Proven track record managing multiple projects or investigations simultaneously and focusing on critical priorities with little supervision. Strong independent and ethical decision-making with a demonstrated commitment to integrity and compliance. Proficiency in using investigative tools and technology, including computer forensics software and data analysis programs.

Academic Credentials:
A bachelor's degree in criminal justice, criminology, business administration, or a related field is preferred. Relevant professional certifications such as Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Professional Certified Investigator (PCI), Certified Protection Professional (CPP), or equivalents are preferred.

Location:
Santa Clara, CA (Hybrid - 3 days a week onsite)
No Relocation assistance offered.
