Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our team at Spanish Trail Kid's Dentist and Orthodontics. As a key member of our dental team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our clinicians in delivering top-notch dental services.

Responsibilities
  • Assist clinicians in providing dental treatment to pediatric patients, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience for all.
  • Prepare patients for treatment, including escorting them to and from the front desk and introducing them to other team members as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with the front and back office teams to ensure seamless scheduling and efficient patient flow.
  • Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment, adhering to state and federal infection control guidelines.
  • Perform various tasks, including sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, preparing tray setups, and assisting with radiographs and intra-oral pictures.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries and addressing concerns in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Participate in daily morning huddles, monthly team meetings, and other meetings as required, contributing to a positive and collaborative team environment.
Requirements
  • Equivalent to a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), with specified training courses as mandated by state for certification, licensure, or registration.
  • Certificates/Licenses/Registrations: As mandated by applicable state.
  • Specialty Dental Assistants must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and automobile insurance, with reliable means of transportation for timely travel to multiple offices per day.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries, draw valid conclusions, and apply sound judgment in making decisions.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clinicians, patients, and other team members.
  • Ability to maintain extreme confidentiality of patient records and handle sensitive information with discretion.
