Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sanitation/Facility Technician to join our team at Sugaright, LLC.

Job Purpose Summary:

This position is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment by performing various tasks related to sanitation, minor repairs, and equipment maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

* Perform daily sanitary maintenance of office areas, including restrooms, laboratories, and break rooms.

* Maintain the Master Cleaning Schedule and complete required documentation.

* Perform basic repairs, such as caulking, painting, and power washing.

* Report findings related to Food Safety and Food Quality.

* Coordinate with Supervisor and plant management to clean designated areas.

* Work closely with the operations team to ensure all areas are maintained clean at all times.

* Perform sanitation on equipment as required.

* Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of facility grounds.

* Operate Powered Industrial Vehicles, including Forklifts, Scissors lifts, and Telescopic boom lifts.

* Follow GMP and other quality processes and procedures.

Requirements:

* Ability to work in a food manufacturing environment.

* Previous food industry experience is preferred.

* Must be adaptable and flexible.

* Ability to communicate and understand expectations for the role.

* Ability to work independently.

* Recordkeeping/documentation skills.

* Basic understanding of documentation needed for the process.

* Ability to speak and write English at a basic level.

* Requires lifting up to 75+ pounds.

* Requires exposure to machines, chemicals, and solvents.

* The work environment can be hot, humid, dusty, or cold depending on the time of year.

* Employees may be required to work in or outside of the building depending on the needs of the role.

* Must understand vague and implicit instructions and react favorably in all work situations.

* Must be mentally adaptable and flexible in dealing with a variety of people and conditions.

* Emotional stability and personal maturity are important attributes in this position.

* Must understand people and be able to communicate effectively.

* Ability to do basic math calculations as required.
