Position Summary:

You will play a key role in supporting attorneys in all phases of litigation, from case inception to trial preparation and post-trial follow-up. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys with case preparation, including document review, legal research, and drafting pleadings.
  • Conduct factual investigations and gather necessary documents for cases.
  • Prepare and file legal documents with Federal and State courts, including motions, briefs, and discovery requests.
  • Manage case files and organize large volumes of documents and data.
  • Coordinate and schedule depositions, hearings, trials, and meetings.
  • Assist in the preparation of witnesses and exhibits for trial.
  • Conduct legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and third parties as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with court rules and deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program.
  • 3-5 years of paralegal experience, preferably in litigation.
  • Strong knowledge of litigation processes and court procedures.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, or other databases.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience with electronic discovery (e-discovery) tools is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with case management software (e.g., Clio, Caret, etc.).
