About the Position

As an Obstetric Emergency Nurse Specialist at Odessa Regional Medical Center, you will provide exceptional nursing care to patients within our state-of-the-art Emergency Department. Your expertise will coordinate care planning with other disciplines and prioritize patient needs based on physical and psychosocial factors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine priorities of care and communicate effectively with ED physicians regarding patient status and diagnostic study results.
  • Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities and contribute to quality initiatives.
About Regulatory Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program (BSN preferred).
  • A minimum of 18 months acute/critical care experience.
  • Current Registered Nurse license within the state of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within six months of hire.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within one year of hire.
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification within one year of hire.
  • Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification is preferred.
  • Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) certification is preferred.
About the Opportunity
