About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Property Financial Analyst Lead to join our team at Lincoln Property Company. In this critical role, you will assume the financial expert position for a designated portfolio of properties, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of monthly financial reporting for assigned properties, including budgets and forecasts.
  • Collaborate closely with property managers to optimize operational efficiency and promote consistency in operations reporting.
  • Implement company-wide property management accounting and reporting initiatives, driving effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Prepare monthly reporting packages for institutional owners and asset managers, working closely with property management.
  • Maintain a calendar of required debt covenant reporting deadlines for assigned properties and prepare accurate and timely reporting as needed.
  • Prepare and review monthly accruals and straight-line rent journal entries, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly, identifying and addressing any discrepancies or issues.
  • Record tax basis entries as needed for year-end and prepare tax and applicable audit work papers, maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Ensure delinquency reports are accurate and promptly notify property management of serious delinquencies.
  • Understand lease terminology and work closely with Lease Administrators to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Monitor cash flows and ensure timely payment of critical payments, preparing funding reports as necessary.
  • Contribute to budget preparation by providing information and analysis to property managers, supporting informed decision-making.
  • Review budgets for accuracy and upload them into accounting software, ensuring data integrity.
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for assigned properties, verifying accuracy and completeness.
  • Track tenant upfit allowances using Excel and job costing software, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Maintain fixed asset listings and depreciation, ensuring accurate records and compliance.
  • Analyze data from various sources, providing accurate and complete answers for owners, supporting informed decision-making.
  • Prepare personal property tax listings and monitor sales/use tax for owners, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Work a standard full-time schedule of 40-45 hours per week based on reporting cycles.
About You
  • A four-year degree in Accounting is required, with three years of real estate and/or public accounting experience preferred.
  • GAAP experience is essential, with strong interpersonal skills and critical thinking skills also required.
  • High professionalism, excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential, with a high degree of teamwork and relationship-building skills.
  • A first 90-day training period in the office is required, followed by a hybrid schedule based on performance, allowing for up to two days per week of remote work.
  • Part-time opportunities are also available, with prorated salary and bonus.
  • High proficiency in Excel is desired, with experience in MRI and/or Yardi, and FAS asset software being a plus.
  • A CPA license is required.
Salary and Benefits
