Job SummaryWe are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team at Duke Raleigh Hospital, a campus of Duke University Hospital. As a Registered Nurse on our Medical-Surgical Oncology unit, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and developing and implementing individualized care plans.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between departments.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care and safety.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure that patient needs are met and that care is delivered in a timely and efficient manner.
- Graduation from an accredited Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (or higher), Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program is required.
- All registered nurses without a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or higher) will be required to enroll in an appropriate BSN program within two years of their start date and to complete the program within five years of their start date.
- Nurses hired at Duke Health with a valid compact license are required to obtain their North Carolina nursing license within 90 days of their start date.
