Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at St Lukes Boise Medical Center for a 13-week travel assignment. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care to patients of all ages, including adults, pediatrics, and neonates
  • Conduct diagnostic tests and procedures, such as pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas analysis
  • Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Operate and maintain respiratory equipment, including ventilators, oxygen therapy devices, and other life-support systems
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on respiratory care and disease management
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to respiratory care
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of Idaho
  • At least 2-3 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, preferably in a hospital setting
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift and move patients and equipment as needed
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with pediatric and neonatal patients
  • Knowledge of NAVA (naturally adjusted ventilatory assist) on Cervo vents
  • Experience with respiratory equipment, including ventilators and oxygen therapy devices
