**Job Title:**

Litigation Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Litigation Support Specialist to join our growing personal injury team at KISNER LAW LLC. This role will provide legal support and assist in all phases of the litigation process, interacting with clients, drafting and filing pleadings, answering discovery, conducting interviews, and attending meetings.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with all phases of litigation, from inception to resolution.
  • Understand and apply local rules and regulations.
  • Manage cases, review medical records, and draft medical chronologies.
  • Draft and respond to discovery requests.
  • Prepare pleadings, including Complaints and Motions.
  • Gather medical records, draft demand letters, conduct research, and interview witnesses.
  • Directly work with clients to obtain treatment status and provide case updates.
  • Assist with intake and case evaluation.
  • Schedule depositions, IME appointments, issue witness/trial subpoenas.
  • Effectively communicate with clients, insurance carriers, courts, and medical provider offices.
  • Maintain and organize electronic case files.
  • Generate and send correspondence and documents via mail, fax, and email.
  • Provide general administrative support.

Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
  • 2-5 years of paralegal experience in personal injury and workers' compensation.
  • Expert level proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat/Power PDF.
  • E-filing capabilities in Maryland, DC, and PACER.
  • Typing speed of at least 85 wpm.
  • Familiarity with OneDrive.
  • Advanced knowledge of personal injury law procedures, regulations, and the litigation process.
  • Experience with Workers' Compensation claims process in MD and DC is preferred.
  • Utilizing case management software to track and monitor tasks and deadlines.
  • Calendaring scheduling order deadlines, trial dates, client meetings, depositions, etc.
  • Willingness to perform administrative tasks as necessary.
  • Proactive work style, taking initiative to anticipate attorney needs.
  • Written and verbal fluency in Spanish is preferred but not required.

Salary Range:

$50,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience.
