As a Medical Scribe at SSM Health, you will play a vital role in supporting our healthcare team by documenting patient encounters and medical charts. Your attention to detail and strong communication skills will enable you to effectively collaborate with providers to capture accurate and comprehensive patient information.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Accompany providers into patient examination rooms to document patient history, physical exams, and medical charts.
  • Transcribe consultations, discussions, and medical procedures performed by physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient information, including lab results, x-rays, and other evaluations.
  • Work closely with providers to ensure complete and accurate patient charts, facilitating informed treatment decisions.
  • May assist with patient-related duties and perform other tasks as assigned.

**Requirements:**

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; 10 years of work experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • No prior experience necessary; on-the-job training provided.

**Work Environment:**

  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, and repetitive movements.
  • Frequent use of vision, hearing, and speech for communication and data entry.
  • Occasional lifting, bending, and gripping.
