Salary:

The estimated hourly salary for this role is $41.49 per hour.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain registration and active CME's in ultrasound to ensure excellent service.
  2. Create a tranquil environment for patients, adhering to examination instructions.
  3. Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures and operate related equipment with competency.
  4. Greet patients, obtain history, and enter information into the computer system.
  5. Scan according to guidelines, ensuring quality standards are met.
  6. Process paperwork for biopsies, maintain logs, and utilize sterile techniques preventing contamination.
  7. Maintain quality standards as it relates to HIPAA regulations.
  8. Responsible for all clinical aspects of ultrasonography suites, maintaining cleanliness and stocking necessary medical supplies.
  9. Assist in completing the accreditation process for the American College of Radiology (ACR) every three years.
  10. Maintain CPR certification and observe patient vital signs during examinations.
  11. Provide coverage as needed, including call-outs or extended patient schedules.
  12. Provide instruction/mentoring to new hires and a positive patient experience.
  13. Maintain communication with radiologists, other physicians, patients, and their families.
  14. Consistently submit images of diagnostic quality, performing quality assurance on images and equipment.
  15. Contribute to efficient outpatient operations, maximizing productivity of assigned modality.
  16. Review each examination for technical accuracy and present completed examinations to radiologists.
  17. Demonstrate teamwork, interacting positively with employees and contributing to a collaborative work environment.
  18. Meet or exceed deadlines, demonstrating accountability, flexibility, and adaptability.
  19. Enhance professional growth and maintain certifications, registration, and active CME's through education programs and workshops.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited course in ultrasonography.
  • ARDMS certification.
