Job Summary:We are looking for a dedicated and experienced ICU Charge Nurse to lead our team in providing high-quality patient care. The successful candidate will have a strong background in medical-surgical ICU nursing and excellent leadership skills.
Responsibilities:- Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care delivery systems in the ICU
- Assign patient care based on patient acuity, staff qualifications, and unit standards
- Recommends changes in staff mix needed based on patient needs, methods of delivery of care, and budget allowances
- Participates in unit-based and organizational quality management and/or care improvement programs
- Collaborates with the Nursing Director and Assistant Nurse Director in planning staff meeting agendas and facilitating staff attendance
- Monitors adherence to standards of practice and provides immediate feedback to staff
- Provides input into recommendation of staff selection and promotion
- Current Massachusetts license
- Graduate of an approved School of Nursing
- At least 2 years of Medical ICU or Surgical ICU experience
- Demonstrated leadership ability
- CCRN and ACLS preferred
