Senior Chemist

VPI Technology, a division of Ludlum Measurement, Inc., is seeking a highly skilled Senior Chemist to join our Eljen Technology division in Texas. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting chemical manufacturing, product development, and quality control, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

• Chemical Manufacturing: Conduct laboratory tasks safely, adhering to safety data sheets and environmental health and safety standards.
• Product Development: Identify and recommend improvements to processes, products, and quality, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
• Quality Control: Maintain comprehensive documentation on assigned projects, reviewing and presenting laboratory reports to peers and management.
• Collaboration: Work closely with laboratory and interdepartmental teams to achieve shared goals.
• Equipment Maintenance: Operate, maintain, and test laboratory equipment, identifying problems and conducting or recommending repairs.
• Documentation: Draft standard operating procedures and safety materials, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Education: Master's degree in chemistry with related laboratory work experience required; PhD in Chemistry preferred.
• Skills: Excellent chemistry background, including product development; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and software applications used for chemical tests and analysis.
