Job Summary

ASM Global is seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at SAVOR Jacksonville. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing menu items for each banquet event order, maintaining all kitchen equipment's cleanliness, and cooking recipes as directed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare menu items for each banquet event order, ensuring high-quality presentation and taste.
  • Maintain all kitchen equipment's cleanliness, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Cook recipes as directed, utilizing knowledge of basic cooking procedures and techniques.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • At least six months of previous experience as a cook in a commercial kitchen or equivalent.
  • Serve safe certification preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, good oral communication skills, and ability to adapt to changes in the work environment.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with frequent standing, walking, and stooping.

Work Environment
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to heat, noise, and physical demands. The employee must be able to move around the facility, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
