Medical Records Analyst

We are seeking a skilled Medical Records Analyst to join our team at Oroville Hospital. As a key member of our Health Information Management department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of patient medical records.
Responsibilities- Perform daily chart analysis to identify deficiencies and ensure compliance with medical record rules and guidelines.
- Route charts to the coder, transcription area, or other departments as indicated.
- Conduct additional analysis to determine appropriate surgical indications, blood utilization, and applicability to pre-established Medical Staff Occurrence Screens.
- Forward charts not meeting established criteria to the appropriate Medical Staff Department Committee for secondary screening.
- Assume other related responsibilities and duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- At least two years of experience in the medical records field with knowledge of medical and anatomical terminology.
This is a full-time position with a variable shift schedule. The successful candidate will be required to lift up to 20 pounds and perform frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
