Key Responsibilities
  • Assist journeyman and apprentices in carrying out tasks, gathering materials, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit to ensure efficient and safe electrical installations.
  • Drill holes for wiring and pull or push wiring through openings, ensuring precise and accurate work.
  • Identify and troubleshoot short circuits in wiring, using your analytical skills to resolve issues.
  • Assist in lifting, positioning, and fastening objects such as wiring, conduit, and motors, demonstrating your physical stamina and teamwork abilities.
  • Perform minor repairs, including replacing fuses, light sockets, bulbs, and switches, showcasing your problem-solving skills.
  • Maintain tools and equipment, keeping supplies and parts in order, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Disassemble defective electrical equipment, replace defective or worn parts, and reassemble equipment, demonstrating your mechanical aptitude.
  • Clean work areas, machines, tools, and equipment, upholding our company's commitment to a clean and organized workspace.
  • Perform other routine duties as assigned, demonstrating your adaptability and willingness to learn.
Requirements
  • Reliable transportation is essential for this role.
  • Basic electrician's hand tools are required for the position.
  • Ability to work with hands and multitask is crucial for success in this role.
  • Some electrical knowledge is beneficial, but not necessary.
  • A valid state motor vehicle operator's license and a clear driving record are required to meet our company's policy.
  • Applicable state certification is also required.
