Role Summary:
As a Precision Machinist, your primary responsibility will be to operate and maintain edge banding machinery, ensuring the highest quality finishing of wooden panels and components. This role requires setting up machines, fine-tuning parameters, and conducting routine maintenance to guarantee optimal performance and superior results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure and operate edge banding machines in accordance with production specifications.
- Examine and modify machine settings to achieve accurate edge banding.
- Oversee machine performance, making necessary adjustments to uphold quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment to minimize downtime.
- Interpret blueprints and work orders to ascertain specifications and materials.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to production schedules.
- Maintain a tidy and organized workspace, following safety protocols and standards.
- Document production data and communicate any issues or discrepancies to management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training is advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience in operating edge banding machines or comparable woodworking equipment.
- Strong mechanical skills and the ability to resolve equipment issues effectively.
- Familiarity with safety practices and protocols in a manufacturing setting.
