Key Responsibilities- Exhibits leadership that promotes the delivery of professional nursing care ensuring patient comfort and well-being.
- Employs the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document patient care and education for patients and their families.
- Executes medically prescribed interventions.
Qualifications
- Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enrollment in a BSN or advanced degree program with completion of a BSN within five years of hire. Grandfathering accepted across departments and Mission Health entities. Exemptions or extensions may be granted by the facility CNO.
- Preferred Education: Master’s degree in Nursing.
- Required Licensure/Certifications: Must possess and maintain current licensure as a registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may apply; verification with NCBON is advised. Certification: BLS Healthcare Provider.
- Preferred Licensure/Certifications: National Certification in the relevant specialty area.
Experience Requirements: Minimum of one year of nursing experience in a hospital setting.
