Job Description

Populus Financial Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Network Engineering and Architecture to lead our team of engineers in designing, implementing, and maintaining our complex network infrastructure. As a key member of our IT leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and technical expertise to ensure the delivery of high-quality network services that meet the business needs of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Engineering and Architecture
    • Design, implement, and maintain our network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
    • Develop and maintain network architecture and design documents, including network diagrams and documentation.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network infrastructure meets business requirements.
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead a team of network engineers and architects in the design, implementation, and maintenance of our network infrastructure.
    • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their jobs effectively.
    • Develop and implement training programs to ensure team members have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Project Management
    • Manage and coordinate network infrastructure projects, including planning, execution, and delivery.
    • Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables meet business requirements.
  • Technical Expertise
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest network technologies and trends, including software-defined networking, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.
    • Develop and maintain technical expertise in network engineering and architecture, including network protocols, network security, and network management.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network infrastructure meets business requirements.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including IT, business stakeholders, and vendors.

    • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and partners to ensure network infrastructure meets business requirements.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience
    • 10+ years of experience in network engineering and architecture, including experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network infrastructure.
    • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role, including experience in managing teams and projects.
  • Skills
    • Strong technical expertise in network engineering and architecture, including network protocols, network security, and network management.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including experience in communicating with cross-functional teams and vendors.
    • Strong project management skills, including experience in managing budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
