OVERVIEW:

As an HCL Commerce Architect, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of sophisticated e-commerce solutions utilizing the HCL Commerce platform. This platform is recognized for its robustness and scalability, allowing businesses to effectively manage online retail operations, customer transactions, and deliver an exceptional shopping experience.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Engage with clients, business stakeholders, and development teams to gather requirements and architect scalable, efficient e-commerce solutions using HCL Commerce.
  • Define system architecture, data models, integration points, and comprehensive solution designs.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and HCL Commerce capabilities.
  • Customize and enhance the HCL Commerce platform to fulfill specific business needs, which may include developing custom modules, extensions, or integrations with third-party systems.
  • Optimize the performance and scalability of the e-commerce solution to manage high traffic and transaction volumes through performance tuning, caching strategies, load testing, and capacity planning.
  • Implement security measures in the e-commerce solution by adhering to industry-standard practices, including secure coding, data encryption, and authentication protocols, while being knowledgeable about compliance standards such as PCI-DSS.
  • Create comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design specifications, and deployment guides, and provide training to development teams or clients' technical staff.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends and advancements in e-commerce technologies, HCL Commerce updates, and industry best practices, identifying opportunities for enhancements and proposing improvements to clients.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • In-depth knowledge of HCL Commerce, Salesforce, Java, J2EE, and web technologies.
  • Experience in designing and implementing integrations between HCL Commerce and other enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM, payment gateways, and logistics providers.
  • Familiarity with integration frameworks and middleware technologies like IBM MQ and IBM Integration Bus.
  • Strong technical skills in Java/J2EE and web technologies, with a solid understanding of e-commerce concepts and experience with HCL Commerce or similar platforms.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders, business users, and development teams.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, analytical thinking, and adaptability to work in a dynamic environment are essential for success in this role.
