We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team at The Menta Group. As a valued member of our staff, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our students.
About the RoleThis full-time position offers a competitive salary of $60,000-$80,000 per year, depending on experience. Our teachers enjoy a generous benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 403(b) investment option.
As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic success and social growth for our students. Your expertise will help our students develop essential skills and strategies to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement personalized lesson plans tailored to meet the diverse needs of our students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective educational program.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Provide individualized support and accommodations to ensure equal access to education for all students.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A valid Illinois Professional Educator's License (PEL) with LBS1 Certification or willingness to obtain it.
- Experience working with at-risk youth and families, preferably in a special education setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- A commitment to lifelong learning and professional development.
