Job Title: Shop Floor Manufacturing Engineer

At BWX Technologies, we are a leading manufacturer of nuclear reactors and precision components for the defense and energy industries. As a Shop Floor Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a critical role in the development and implementation of manufacturing processes that meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and support manufacturing process plans in accordance with contract technical requirements.
  • Implement and improve manufacturing processes during the fabrication cycle.
  • Ensure all design and quality requirements are satisfied.
  • Identify facility and tooling requirements.
  • Develop and implement new manufacturing methods.
  • Monitor performance and control costs of manufacture.
  • Prepare technical procedures and documents.
  • Resolve any problems encountered during manufacture.
  • Work with customers and vendors as necessary.
  • Provide status and schedule support of products during the manufacturing cycle.
Qualifications:
  • Strong communications skills.
  • Interest in working with multiple disciplines in support of product design and manufacture.
  • Adept with MRP & Microsoft Office programs.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred).
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience, PhD may substitute for experience.
  • Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen with no dual citizenship and able to obtain and maintain a DOE issued Security Clearance.
