Position Overview

The Computed Tomography (CT) Scan Technologist plays a crucial role in assisting healthcare professionals by producing high-quality radiographic images essential for patient diagnosis and treatment. This position emphasizes minimizing radiation exposure for both the patient and the technologist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct CT Studies: Execute computed tomography examinations in accordance with established protocols, ensuring the ability to distinguish between normal and abnormal anatomical structures.
  • Contrast Administration: Administer intravenous (IV) and oral contrast materials as necessary, adhering to departmental protocols and institutional guidelines.
  • Patient Monitoring: Continuously observe and document the patient's physical and mental state throughout the imaging process.
  • Radiation Safety: Implement radiation protection measures for patients and staff, utilizing appropriate shielding techniques.
  • Nursing Support: Assist in sterile procedures, obtain vital signs, and document critical patient information accurately.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role is required.
  • Travel experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Epic software is mandatory.
  • Experience with Toshiba or Canon imaging systems is highly desirable.
  • Current BLS (AHA) and ARRT certifications are required.
Additional Requirements
  • Submission of a Work History document.
  • Completion of a Skills Checklist relevant to the specialty, updated within the last year.
  • Provision of 2 Supervisory Reference Forms from the past two years.
  • Valid Licensure (ARRT) and Certifications (BLS AHA).
