Head Brewer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Brewer to join our team at Dragoon Brewing Company.

The Head Brewer will be responsible for leading our production team to create and foster a safe working environment, developing methods and SOPs for team education, training, safety, and quality, and working to develop and maintain supply chain relationships with raw material vendors to ensure quality and consistency.

• Develop and implement safety programs to ensure the health and safety of all team members.
• Foster an inclusive culture of change and growth to improve staff's technical knowledge, safety practices, and skills.
• Implement and ensure compliance with GMPs, HAACP, Safety Protocols, and Dragoon SOPs.
• Work with the quality team to ensure all wort and beer production meets quality standards.
• Develop, implement, and communicate changes to recipes and procedures to maintain and improve beer quality, consistency, and shelf life.
• Identify and troubleshoot quality issues and develop corrective actions.
• Work with management and the sales team to develop brewing projections and annual ingredient requirements.
• Ensure smooth operations and minimize gaps in staffing needs.

• Prior related brewery production experience, management training or experience, and formal brewing education (or equivalent education and experience).
• Leadership qualities, detail-oriented, thorough, and dedicated to safety and quality.
• Ability to think on their feet and adapt a plan to changing conditions.

The Head Brewer will work in a fast-paced brewery environment, with frequent exposure to loud noises, hot and cold temperatures, and wet conditions.

The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
