Job RoleThe Licensed Practical Nurse - Office Coordinator will be responsible for providing administrative and clinical support to our healthcare operations team. This includes managing office workflows, coordinating patient care, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage patient appointments, procedures, and follow-ups using advanced scheduling tools to ensure timely and efficient care delivery.
- Coordinate communication between patients, providers, and external healthcare entities through effective communication channels to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect sensitive information.
- Assist with billing, coding, and insurance verification to ensure seamless financial processes and maximize revenue.
- Monitor inventory and order medical supplies and office equipment as needed to maintain a well-stocked environment, promoting a positive patient experience.
- Develop and implement office policies and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity, resulting in increased job satisfaction and reduced turnover rates.
- Provide training to staff on administrative workflows and policies to ensure consistency and quality, leading to improved patient outcomes.
Clinical Support Duties:
- Triage phone calls and patient inquiries to ensure timely resolution and exceptional customer service, resulting in increased patient satisfaction ratings.
- Review and manage patient test results, referrals, and medication refill requests to ensure accurate and efficient care coordination.
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms for provider use as needed to ensure a clean and organized environment, promoting a positive patient experience.
- Perform basic clinical tasks (e.g., taking vitals, administering injections) as necessary to support staff shortages or high patient volumes, ensuring continuity of care.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, CMS, and other regulatory standards to maintain a safe and healthy work environment, reducing the risk of accidents and injuries.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits to identify areas for improvement and implement changes, resulting in improved patient outcomes and increased job satisfaction.
- Support the development of risk management strategies and incident reporting to mitigate potential risks and promote a culture of safety.
Qualifications:
Education and Licensure:
- Current and valid LPN license in Ohio
