Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Family Court Facilitator to join our team at the Colorado Judicial Branch. As a key member of our staff, you will play a critical role in providing individual case management and coordination of family-related matters, including domestic relations, domestic violence, dependency, and neglect and delinquency cases before the courts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage domestic case types, including Dependency and Neglect, Delinquency, Truancy, Adoption, and Relinquishment.
  • Conduct status conferences and assist parties with identification of disputed issues and options for resolution.
  • Liaise between the specialty court magistrate, court personnel, treatment providers, attorneys, and other members of the specialty team.
  • Facilitate the exchange of necessary information and prepare cases for judicial officers.
  • Assist parties and counsel in understanding court processes and policies.
  • Attend, participate, and manage subcommittees of Best Practice Court Team and other stakeholder meetings.
  • Help manage Truancy Docket and Specialty Court Youth Educational Support Services (YESS).
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in the field of Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, or related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in social work, legal, or other related field.
Working Conditions

This position requires sedentary work, with occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds. The work environment is relatively free from unpleasant conditions and hazards.
