Job Summary

The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for maintaining a seamless customer experience by ensuring accurate product flow throughout the store. This role involves reviewing inbound product deliveries, processing freight, and maintaining backroom standards to guarantee continuous product availability on the sales floor. The successful candidate will embody the Hearts, Hands, Minds, and Inspire principles and work closely with store management to align inventory processes with business objectives.

Responsibilities & Competencies

  • HEARTS
    • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers and utilizing the F.A.S.T. service model to meet their needs.
    • Engage with customers to learn about their project requirements and facilitate seamless product selection.
    • Interact with customers in a friendly and approachable manner while serving at the cutting counter, cash register, and sales floor.
  • HANDS
    • Conduct thorough inventory counts to ensure accurate product tracking and minimize shrinkage.
    • Process freight received from trucks, ensuring all merchandise is accounted for and ready for the sales floor.
    • Clean and maintain the backroom area, adhering to high standards of cleanliness and organization.
    • Stock shelves accurately according to planogram, maintaining high productivity and attention to detail.
  • MINDS
    • Collaborate with store management to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies and product flow issues.
    • Merchandise products in an attractive and attention-grabbing manner to promote sales.
    • Continuously improve processes and suggest innovative solutions to optimize inventory flow throughout the store.
  • INSPIRE
    • Work closely with store management to develop a strategic plan for inbound freight movement onto the sales floor.
    • Communicate the freight plan to team members and promote whole-store participation in inventory movement.
    • Partner with store management to align scheduled hours with inbound product flow to ensure full workload coverage.
    • Monitor team member work practices and provide guidance on receiving and stocking store policies.
