We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join our team at SOAR365 as a Head Counselor, Summer Camp.
Job OverviewAs a key member of our Summer Camp team, you will provide leadership and supervision to activity specialists and camp counselors. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the overall safety, well-being, and enjoyment of our campers.
You will play a critical role in maintaining positive relationships with your fellow team members and those we serve. This position serves as a role model for the staff of Camp Baker, demonstrating exceptional leadership skills and a commitment to excellence.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with individuals with developmental disabilities. You will have the chance to make a real difference in the lives of our campers and contribute to the success of our organization.
In this role, you will oversee all activities, ensuring that quality experiences are provided daily. You will also assist with ordering and maintaining supplies, completing weekly checklists, and rotating to support activity specialists throughout the day.
Your experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is essential, as is your ability to give and take direction, possess strong organizational skills, and lead individuals, small groups, and large groups of both staff and campers.
