Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Housekeeper to provide daily housekeeping services to our patients and residents. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily housekeeping services to patients and residents, including cleaning and disinfecting surfaces, floors, and fixtures.
  • Closely follow daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules to ensure a clean and safe environment.
  • Clean and disinfect restrooms, including resident rooms and public spaces.
  • Clean and disinfect public spaces, including corridors, stairwells, elevators, waiting rooms, and lobby.
  • Perform other department duties as assigned by the Housekeeping/EVS Manager.
Requirements:
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • High school graduate or equivalent education preferred.
  • Minimum one (1) year of housekeeping experience in a healthcare setting desired.
  • General knowledge of cleaning and infection prevention.
Work Environment:

This position requires lifting up to forty pounds (40lbs). The Housekeeper will work throughout the facility, including resident rooms, and will be exposed to odors, falls, burns, and exposure to infectious diseases, waste, blood, and body fluids.

Physical Demands:

The Housekeeper will stand and walk continuously throughout the working day. They will reach, stoop, bend, lift, carry, and work with housekeeping supplies and equipment. Ability to work with chemicals and cleaning agents is required.
