Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Control Wire Technician/Panel Assembler to join our team at Powerserve Technologies. As a key member of our manufacturing shop, you will be responsible for producing custom relay control cabinets and panels, including cutting, installation, and assembly of panel components, cable raceway, protection, and auxiliary devices, wiring, and other electrical systems.

Occasionally, you will perform circuit termination in utility substations or other heavy industrial sites, requiring site-specific training. Your responsibilities will also include basic testing activities, such as continuity testing, and assisting with more complex testing activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and understand electrical drawings, including layout and wiring diagrams, elementary/schematics, and other types of drawings.
  • Install electrical circuit wires neatly and efficiently through wire-ways, in bundles, and properly terminate conductors to each component.
  • Work in a team-oriented environment, demonstrating a willingness to learn and improve knowledge and skills.
  • Perform basic testing activities, such as continuity testing, and assist with more complex testing activities.
  • Occasionally perform circuit termination in utility substations or other heavy industrial sites, requiring site-specific training.
Requirements
  • Good English communication skills (spoken and written).
  • Strong knowledge in reading and understanding electrical drawings.
  • Willingness to learn and improve knowledge and skills.
  • Ability to learn from constructive correction.
  • Willingness to learn to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Good mechanical aptitude. Wiring aptitude will be demonstrated by testing during the interview process.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of industry or similarly related job experience.
  • Prior experience working in a team-oriented environment.
  • Experience with UL-508A Control Panel requirements and assembly.
