We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Novant Health's New Hanover Regional Medical Center location in Wilmington, NC.

Job Summary

This is a part-time opportunity for a 0.6 FTE registered nurse to work on the Medicine II unit, working 48 hours every two weeks with a 12-hour night shift schedule from 7pm to 7am.

About the Position

As a registered nurse on our Medicine II unit, you will be responsible for assessing patients' conditions and health needs, developing and implementing nursing care plans, administering medications and treatments prescribed by physicians, and educating patients and their families about medical conditions, treatments, and preventive care measures.

Responsibilities
  • Assessing patients' conditions and health needs
  • Developing and implementing nursing care plans
  • Administering medications and treatments prescribed by physicians
  • Facilitating skill development and knowledge sharing among staff
  • Fostering a culture of teamwork and open communication with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Advocating for patients' rights and coordinating their care within the healthcare system
Requirements
  • Associate degree in nursing
  • Current valid North Carolina Nursing License or Multi-State/Compact
  • Commitment to continuous growth and development
  • Enthusiastic attitude towards teaching and mentorship
  • One year relevant experience, preferred

This position is eligible for benefits, including a competitive salary range of $75,000 - $90,000 per year, based on experience, as well as up to a $15,000 sign-on bonus and up to $7,500 relocation assistance.
