We are seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN to join our dedicated team at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center. This role is focused on providing exceptional care in a high-acuity environment.
Certification Requirements- Mandatory Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH.
- Preferred Experience: Step-Down nursing.
- Pre-Employment Testing: EKG testing is required prior to commencement.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years as a Registered Nurse.
- Traveler Experience: First-time travelers are welcome; stepdown experience is preferred.
- Local Candidates: Accepted with a rate adjustment.
- Patient Care: Focus on diagnoses such as cardiac arrhythmias, myocardial infarction, acute coronary syndrome, uncontrolled diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis, heart failure, and post-procedural care.
- Unit Operations: Involves cardiac drips; no titration for blood pressure is required. The unit is designed for high-acuity patients with a significant patient-to-nurse ratio.
- Technological Systems: Familiarity with PYXIS, EPIC, and SBAR is advantageous.
- Orientation: Comprehensive 3-day unit orientation provided.
- Experience: 2 years as a Registered Nurse is mandatory.
- Skills: Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry, and management of dysrhythmias.
- Certification: Required certifications include ACLS, BCLS, NIH.
- Patient Ratios: 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio, with an average daily census of 23.
- Contract Length: 13-week contracts are available.
- Shift Details: 12-hour night shifts.
- Time Off: Maximum of 7 days for requests during auto-offer.
- Floating Requirement: Yes, floating is necessary.
- Weekend Commitment: 8 weekend shifts are required.
- Traveler Acceptance: First-time travelers are encouraged to apply; stepdown experience is preferred.
- Team Environment: High-acuity Tele/Stepdown/IMC unit with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
- Orientation: A thorough 3-day orientation will be provided.
