RSM's Private Company division is in search of a proactive Senior Tax Manager to enhance our growing Business Tax practice.

Our Private Company practice is built on solid relationships, underpinned by a profound understanding of our clients' priorities.

Our team of preferred advisors is dedicated to closely held businesses and their proprietors.

Additionally, our Private Company professionals may assist ultra-high net worth individuals and small family offices.

As a Senior Tax Manager, your responsibilities will encompass the following, focusing on your technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and commitment to exceptional client service and business development:

Key Responsibilities:
Advise business owner clients on a comprehensive range of business and tax opportunities, including succession planning, wealth transfer strategies, and tax compliance

Oversee and manage the engagement team focusing on Partnership, S corporation, or C Corporation, as well as Individual and Fiduciary Taxation.

This includes the planning and execution of client tax engagements.
Collaborate with RSM specialists in Estate and Gift Planning, State and Local Taxation, and International Taxation.
Provide leadership, training, and career mentorship to Supervisor and Manager level team members, serving as a Career Advisor by delivering honest and timely performance feedback.
Drive and collaborate with senior leadership on growth opportunities with existing clients and prospects.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and other professional advisors through a commitment to outstanding client service.
Other duties as assigned.
Some travel may be necessary (varies based on location, line of business, and client needs).

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related business field.
CPA license in your principal place of business/home state, licensed J.D., or Enrolled Agent.
A minimum of 7 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on taxation.

Recent years should include experience in managing client engagements.
Proficient in entity (Partnership, S corporation, or C corporation) and Individual taxation.
Familiarity with Fiduciary, Gift, and Estate Taxation.
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:
LL.M. in taxation and/or Master's in Taxation.
Experience with private client or business taxation, with a desire to enhance skills in the private client sector.

Compensation Range:
$122,300 - $245,900

Individuals

selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
