We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Las Vegas City Schools. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in facilitating the reduction, remediation, or elimination of speech and language impairments that interfere with students' ability to benefit from our educational program.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate speech and language functions to identify areas of need and develop individualized plans to address these needs.
- Implement clinical programs to support students with speech and language impairments, including those with related disabilities such as intellectual disabilities and autism.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other professionals to develop and implement strategies to support students with speech and language needs.
- Provide therapeutic interventions to enhance student performance and progress towards established goals.
- Document student progress, attendance, and other relevant information to inform instruction and make data-driven decisions.
- Current NM Public Education Department License for Speech and Language Pathologist
- Masters Degree in Communication Disorders/Speech and Language Pathology
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competency/ASHA Certification
- Ability to work with students of varying ages and abilities, including those with complex communication needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other professionals.
