Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with residents, family members, and staff.
  • Promote and protect residents' rights and treat them with dignity and respect.
  • Attend in-service and education programs to stay up-to-date on state regulations and best practices.
  • Remain calm and composed under stressful conditions, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for residents.
  • Maintain confidentiality of residents' information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Adhere to community dress code and maintain a professional appearance.
  • Document resident information in a clear and descriptive manner.
  • Report any changes in a resident's condition to the supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Complete work schedules and assigned tasks in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Operate equipment safely and only use equipment for which you have received proper training.
  • Implement infection control precautions and practices in all activities.
  • Be aware of fire and emergency procedures and report any safety violations.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Successful completion of a State Approved Medication Aide course.
  • Personal Care Assistant or Certified Nursing Certification required.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills to interact with residents, families, and staff.
  • Ability to work in an environment conducive to caring for seniors without posing a substantial safety or health threat to self or others.
  • Ability to work well with others and promote a team environment.
